The Elkhorn Ensemble was founded in June of 2002 and is dedicated to bringing beautiful and elegant music for Piano and Violin to the Monterey, Santa Cruz and SF Bay Areas. This dedication is realized through the presentation of classic selections of music from the Salon, the Gypsy camps, and the great Concert Halls of Europe as well as contemporary Broadway and popular song melodies. There is something here for everyone and every occasion. Guaranteed, the presentation will always be First Rate!

About The Players

William Puckett (piano) - Will has been a professional in many musical fields from the Concert stage to the Rock Music Stage, from the Theater stage to the Jazz lounge. A working musician for over 24 years, Will is also a Studio Engineer and a Sound Designer in the Electronic Music Industry supporting companies such as BitHeadz, E-mu, Keyfax and Yamaha. A composer as well as a pianist, Will Puckett has many original pieces and arrangements that the Elkhorn Ensemble plays ranging from the whimsical to more serious compositions. Always an interesting player, Will combines a refined classical approach with a composers' improvisational sensibility providing a performance that is never dull.

William Juncosa (violin) - Willy Juncosa began violin studies at age 7 and continued through Cabrillo College, UCLA, and UCSC where he studied chamber music with the legendary Heichiro Ohyama. He has performed extensively with orchestras in the Monterey Bay area including the Santa Cruz Symphony for many years. Willy also started his own group "The Eternal Youth Orchestra" or "EYO", conducting and performing with this group for over eight years. Willy is also a member of two professional string quartets, a trio, and the violin/cello group "Duo Caprice" -an institution at many local Santa Cruz coffee houses. If this were not enough he can add: Tai Chi instructor, Music Teacher both privately and in the school system, parent, astronomer, and advocate for seniors mobile housing. Whew! Willy has a lot of energy, and this definitely shows in his violin playing.

Do you have a special occasion that needs that "elegant" touch? Contact us and we will be glad to oblige! Please include the words "Elkhorn Ensemble" in the subject line.

The Elkhorn Ensemble has never been abducted by aliens, however many people have claimed to have seen UFO's in the vicinity of the locations where The Elkhorn Ensemble has performed.
